Steps During On-site Assessment
On-site assessment undergoes several activities as follows:
- The opening includes an introduction to university leaders, faculty/school, study programme, lecturers, non-academic staff, student representatives, and invited guests. Additionally, it will convey the purpose of implementing on-site assessment and its mechanism and procedure.
- Interview sessions with:
- University leaders
- Faculty/school leaders
- The study programme management
- Internal quality assurance team
- Institute for research and community service leaders
- Students from various classes (10-12 students)
- Non-academic staff including laboratory technicians/analysts, IT staff, administrators, librarians)
- Graduates within the past three years (8-10 alumni)
- Graduate users (6-8 employers, preferably non-alumni)
- Laboratory school/partner school leaders and partners
- Observation and assessment of the teaching and learning process (in classrooms, laboratories, or micro-teaching laboratories)
- Observation of physical facilities: libraries, laboratories, learning resource centres, student services, and other facilities for students
- Clarification and validation of documents
- Closing session with the study programme/faculty/school
